I’m out of town again for the 4th of July, so I instead of visiting a new neighborhood, I decided to dig into my archives for this set of images featuring the stars and stripes throughout NYC. I’ve also included a poll to gauge how everyone feels about the weekly newsletter frequency. As a tsundoku practitioner and a New Yorker subscriber, I know how the tyranny of the unread can weigh you down. I want to be that receiving this weekly email in your inbox doesn't precipitate any undue stress. So, with that in mind, please take a second to answer below.
The only problem I have with it is that it reminds me how fast a week goes by. Entertaining and uniquely interesting mix of visual and historical documentation overlayed with insight and and humor from a trained observer.
I LOVE receiving these nuggets of knowledge, gems of humour and your gorgeous thoughtful images....merci and please keep 'em coming!
Amazing work Rob! Love your observations as well as your photography!
So glad you like it, thanks Jim!

Thanks Dan, so nice of you to say! And I know what you mean, I'm already hearing the footfalls of next Thursday creeping up behind me.
Thanks so much Alex!
