Hi, and thank you so much for supporting the newsletter! I never intended to make this a paid endeavor, but a combination of Substack’s aggressive upselling techniques, my incompetence, and your generosity has made this into a project I will need to file a 1099 for, something I honestly never expected. I am grateful for your support and interest in the project!

I’m not sure where this whole thing is headed though I envision a series of books whenever I finish. Rather than promise a book that may materialize several years down the line, I thought for the time being, I would send an additional Monday newsletter with outtakes from the previous week’s neighborhood to everyone who has paid for a subscription.
